Odwalla 100% Pure Carrot Juice

odwallaWater is usually my beverage of choice 90% of the time, but when I really want something with flavor, I like to pick up 100% pure juices. Odwalla, Bolthouse Farms and Naked Juice are among my favorite brands. Not all their products are steller tho, make sure to check the nutritional labels. One of my recent favorites is this Odwalla 100% Pure Pressed Carrot Juice. At first I thought it might be too thick, like a smoothie, but this is light and refreshing. Odwalla must use the sweetest, freshest carrots around because when you drink this, you feel like you are eating sweet baby carrots, minus the crunch factor. It may sound weird, but it taste so good. Taste sweet, but not sickeningly sweet, just natural baby carrot sweetness. No added sugar. Yum. I like to take swigs at it straight from the bottle, but have also used this as the base of some of my smoothies too. The sugar in the carrots sweetens my smoothies nicely. I have never tried juicing my own carrots before, but they don’t come off as a particularly juicy vegetable to me. No wonder a one cup (8 ounce) serving has over 1 pound of carrot’s worth of juice. One serving is 70 calories, 2 WW, zero fat, 160 milligram of sodium, 520 milligram of potassium, 15 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 13 grams of sugar and 2 grams of protein.

We press the freshest crisp carrots we can find — nearly one pound of carrots put their juice into each serving just for you. Ahh — cool, sweet, creamy carrot juice, singing with flavor and natural nutrients like Beta Carotene and Potassium. Odwalla’s twenty-five-plus years of juice making innovation and refinement — getting to the root of the carrot juicing process — has resulted in the incredible beverage in this bottle: the tastiest, most vibrant essence of the carrot. We think it’s simply the best carrot juice you can get anywhere. Drink it & Thrive!

The carrot juice is delicious but it is rather high in sodium compared to fruit juices.
